Holland Cotter reviews “Josef Albers in America: Painting on Paper” at the Morgan Library in today’s New York Times arts section. Albers spent the last 25 years of his life exploring color interactions and relationships in his series “Homage to the Square.” He pursued this idea in painting and printmaking. Turns out that the Free Library of Philadelphia has examples in their Print & Photo Collection. I’ll be taking my Fleisher silkscreen students to see them.  Stay tuned for more great examples of screenprints from the FLP’s collection.
